For attaching aluminum frames to printed aluminum, DiBond and Sublimation panels
Use: Attaching a subframe to non-porous panels, e.g. Aluminum, ACS.
Advantages: Very high grip, solid adhesive.
Heavy Duty Tape is double-sided and has a very high adhesive strength. Has good adhesion and extremely high adhesion to most grease-free surfaces.
Made of synthetic rubber/resin adhesive with a tear-away polyester fabric core. It is approximately 0.80mm thick.
This special tape is primarily intended to help users bond our subframe profiles to aluminum, Di-bond and other panel materials. It is also ideal for securing many objects and memorabilia to smooth and textured surfaces.
Stronger than foam-based tapes, which can shear under tension. We haven't tested the removal yet, which won't be easy. We recommend trying lighter fluid or acetone.
As with most adhesive products, Heavy Duty Bonding Tape works best when the surfaces to be bonded are completely clean and free of grease. That includes finger grease. Always use alcohol wipes.
Color Heavy Duty Bonding tape On the roll it usually looks red. The adhesive is clear and the color comes from the filmic liner. For technical reasons it is sometimes supplied with a paper protective film so that the rolls appear white. The excellent glue is identical in both cases.
Working with self-adhesive materials in cold weather? When the temperature drops, remember to let self-adhesive tapes, PVA glues, plates and mounting films reach room temperature before using them.
Note: After applying the tape, wait at least 6 hours while the adhesive hardens.
