How can I hang a (heavy) panel?
Unique panel mounting with Danish and Italian roots
There are various solutions for mounting panels, but not all of them are equally easy to implement. This applies to both professional and private use. Screw heads at the front are out of the question and coordination of mounting points between the rear wall and the back of the panel often causes headaches. And then it also has to be level.
GeckoTeq looked for the solution in Europe.
A leading company in Denmark designed a revolutionary connection system in a plastic version. A simple and at the same time smart way to click panels into place. The name? Panel Click Fixer. This plastic version is mainly intended for indoor use and in the private and DIY sector.
GeckoTeq ended up with an Italian company for the stainless steel version. This is intended for professionals and outdoor use. Still a nice piece of European cooperation between Denmark, Italy and the Netherlands.
Metal or plastic, the Paneel Click Fixer works in the same simple way.
This is all you need to do to hang a panel with this system:
- Drill four holes in the wall or background within the dimensions of the panel.
- Attach four metal or plastic connectors (females) to the background or frame using one screw.
- Place the center points in the four connectors. These can be ordered as an option.
- Press the panel in question to the desired location with the back against these four points.
- Screw the other four connectors (males) to the four locations marked by the points.
- Fix the panel via the connectors by pressing it in. The click!
The application of the plastic Panel Click Fixer
The term “panel” is very flexible and that will become clear when you see that the Panel Click Fixer can also be used to apply wainscoting, a false ceiling, removable coverings, chairs, furniture, doors and advertising. The plastic version indicates that this system is intended for indoor use. So also an ultimate solution for private individuals. The connectors have a load-bearing capacity of 5 kg each.
In addition to using screws, the connectors can also be glued. When doing so, choose a type of glue that can withstand the weight of the panel.
The Panel Click Fixer in stainless steel
The method of working does not differ from that of plastic. For professional use, there are stricter requirements regarding safety and fire resistance. This is where the Italian version comes into play. In most cases, this concerns heavier panels such as plastic and other sheet material. The load-bearing capacity of the connectors is also higher here, namely 7 kg each. With this version, the distance between the wall and the back of the panel is 12.5 mm. This distance can be reduced to 1.5 mm by sinking one of the connectors into the panel with the optional drill.
The GeckoTeq Panel Click Fixer represents a breakthrough in panel mounting
There are strong arguments for this that lead to great satisfaction among users:

It's a shame if you don't happen to have to attach panels.
